Phone Number Format Checker
Pick a country, paste a number, and see straight away whether it looks valid and how it should be written. The check runs in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers.
Uses a built-in, simplified table of country codes and number lengths. It covers common countries only and is a format check, not a carrier lookup. Nothing is logged or sent anywhere.
Why format matters for verification codes
A common reason a verification SMS never arrives is a formatting mistake: the country code is missing, it's typed twice, or the dropdown is set to a different country. Many sign-up forms expect the international (E.164) format, for example +14155550123 or +447700900123.
What the result means
- E.164: the + sign, the country code, then the number, with no spaces. Use this when a form asks for an international number.
- Number type: whether the number falls in a mobile range, based on public numbering-plan prefixes. This is a range-based estimate, not a live carrier lookup, so a ported number can show its original type.
- Invalid: the number has the wrong length or prefix for the selected country.

Frequently asked questions
Does this tool send an SMS?
No. It only checks the format on your device.
Can it tell me the current carrier?
No. Live carrier lookups need paid network queries. This tool only estimates the number type from its prefix.
Why does a valid number still not get a code?
The sending service may refuse certain number types, limit how often you can request a code, or already have an account on that number. Wait for the resend timer instead of asking again and again.
Is my number stored?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
