When Telegram asks for a phone number and sends a login code by SMS, SMSPing can give you a virtual number for the "Telegram" service: pick a country and carrier, place an order, enter the number in Telegram, and the SMS code shows up in your own order page. Telegram decides which numbers it accepts and how it delivers the code, so we can't promise every number will pass. Codes aren't guaranteed. How to receive a Telegram verification code
- Sign in to SMSPing and search for the service "Telegram".
- Choose a country and look at each carrier's price and stock.
- Pick a carrier with stock, confirm the price and place the order to get your number.
- Enter the number in Telegram where it asks for your phone number and request the code.
- Go back to your SMSPing order page, wait for the SMS (if it arrives), then copy the code into Telegram.
Each number is ordered for the selected service only, so don't use a Telegram order as a general-purpose number for other apps.

Before you use a virtual number for Telegram
- Telegram's rules come first. When Telegram asks for a phone number, which numbers it accepts and how it sends the code are set by Telegram. See the Telegram FAQ; this page doesn't judge Telegram's verification process.
- Numbers are temporary. A number only receives SMS while the order is active, so it isn't suitable as a long-term phone number. Later logins may need an SMS code sent to the same number again, and you won't have it.
- Protect the account right after sign-up. Telegram's FAQ recommends 2-Step Verification (Settings > Privacy and Security > 2-Step Verification), which adds a password on top of the SMS code, and lets you set a recovery email. Telegram also sends login codes for an account that is already signed in on another device to the "Telegram" service chat in the app, and says these codes should never be shared with anyone.
- No SMS? The charge goes back to your balance. While waiting you can request a cancellation. If an order is canceled or times out with no SMS, the charge is returned to your SMSPing balance, once per order; the balance is not withdrawable. Telegram verification code not received?
First check that the number and country code you entered in Telegram are correct (full international format, no leading zeros), and that you actually requested the code. If Telegram says it sent the code to another device, that code is in the "Telegram" chat on that device, not on your SMSPing number. If nothing arrives before the order expires, cancel it or let it time out; once the charge is back in your balance, try another country or carrier. Can I use the number to log in to Telegram later?
Not reliably. The number only receives SMS while your order is active, so don't rely on it for future logins. Turning on Telegram's 2-Step Verification and a recovery email right after sign-up helps protect the account.
