SMSPool alternative: an honest comparison

SMSPool (smspool.net) is an active SMS verification service. It has not shut down. If you are comparing options because a number did not work or you want a different payment or API setup, this page lists what SMSPool publishes, what reviewers report, and where SMSPing is better or worse.

Status (4 November 2026): SMSPool is operating. Everything below about SMSPool links to its own pages or to public reviews.

What SMSPool says about itself

  • You are not charged for a number that never receives a code; that money stays in your balance (SMSPool: balance refund guide).
  • A deposit can be refunded if it was made within the last 14 days and none of it was spent; only full refunds are processed (SMSPool, SMSPool FAQ).
  • In a reply to a reviewer, SMSPool quoted its order-page note: "The stock counter may not be accurate" (Trustpilot).

What reviewers complain about

These are individual reviews, not verified facts, and SMSPool replies to many of them (Trustpilot):

  • Numbers that were already used or registered on the target app (Trustpilot, page 2).
  • Several numbers in a row that never received a code (Trustpilot).
  • Waiting for support to handle a balance refund, since there is no automatic withdrawal (Trustpilot).
  • Many filters ("pools", operators) that make choosing a number confusing (Trustpilot, page 2).

Other reviewers report quick codes and helpful support. Read both sides before you decide.

When to stay with SMSPool, when to try SMSPing

  • Stay with SMSPool if being able to get an unspent deposit back matters to you; SMSPing balance cannot be withdrawn.
  • Try SMSPing if you want a simple price list, USDT top-ups from $10, or an API your SMS-Activate scripts already speak.
  • Start small either way: top up the minimum and test one number for your app and country.

Try SMSPing

Check the price list first; it needs no account. Top up with USDT (TRC20/ERC20/BEP20), with TRX/ETH/BNB also supported; the minimum top-up is $10.
