Google SMS verification: number compatibility and order tracking
When your current Google flow requests phone verification by SMS, check the Google service and live offers in SMSPing's catalog. Google's verification rules determine whether a number is accepted, and temporary numbers may be rejected. Before buying, consider future verification and whether you will retain control of the account's recovery information.
Distinguish a rejected number from a missing SMS
First confirm that Google requests SMS verification. Google's help identifies two number-restriction errors: "This phone number cannot be used for verification" and "This phone number has been used too many times for verification". These require a different eligible number; waiting for SMS alone does not address the restriction. When selecting SMSPing's Google service, still check the country and live offer. A catalog entry does not guarantee acceptance.
Receive and enter the code from the matching order
Copy the assigned number from the matching order, enter it in Google's required format, and check the dialing code. View messages in your own order and submit the code as Google instructs. Address any number rejection or additional steps shown by Google first. A code being rejected by Google is a separate outcome from whether SMS reached the order.
Follow up on missing SMS and long-term recovery
If no message arrives, check whether the order is waiting, timed out, or under review. A balance refund requires confirmed cancellation or timeout without SMS; an order that has received SMS cannot be canceled for a refund. A temporary number is unsuitable as a lasting recovery phone. Use Google's available settings to maintain recovery methods you continue to control.
Frequently asked questions
What should I do if Google rejects a temporary number?
Follow Google's current screen prompts and check its number requirements. SMSPing cannot guarantee acceptance of virtual or temporary numbers. If the order is still waiting, request cancellation under the order rules and follow its final status.
Is a Google SMS number suitable as a permanent recovery phone?
A temporary SMS number is unsuitable for long-term recovery. Use contact details you can continue to control and maintain recovery information through Google's available settings.
